Affiliate marketing

Affiliate marketing is a partnership model in which a site or creator promotes another company’s products or services and earns a commission whenever their recommendation leads to a sale or sign-up. Everything is tracked through unique links and cookies, so the merchant knows which affiliate sent the customer. Three parties are usually involved: the advertiser who pays, the affiliate who recommends, and often a network that connects them. It costs the user nothing extra. It works best when the content genuinely helps people decide — honest comparisons, reviews and guides — paired with a transparent disclosure of the commercial relationship. It is the model that funds many comparison sites.
