FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions about Cryvor: who we are, how we work, independence and privacy.
General
What is Cryvor?
Cryvor is an independent site that analyzes digital services (VPN, antivirus, hosting, cloud storage and more) from the perspective of privacy, security and value for money. We publish comparisons, guides and analysis to help you decide on clear criteria.
Does using Cryvor cost anything?
No. Access to all comparisons, guides and resources is completely free — no paywalls, no subscriptions.
How is Cryvor different from other comparison sites?
We make our methodology explicit and separate the ranking from commissions: the order can't be bought. We show the criteria, the real pros and cons, and keep the data up to date.
Which languages and countries is Cryvor available in?
Cryvor is available in English, Spanish and German, with recommendations and prices adapted to several markets. We're expanding coverage step by step.
Methodology
Are the comparisons independent?
Yes. The ranking order does not depend on affiliate commissions; we recommend by clear, verifiable criteria — not by who pays most.
How do you choose and rate products?
We evaluate each service against defined criteria: privacy, security, performance, price, ease of use and support. Every comparison explains the methodology, and we never include a product just for sponsorship.
Does Cryvor earn from recommendations?
Sometimes yes, via affiliate links — at no extra cost to you. That commission helps fund the site, but it does not influence the order or our ratings.
How often do you update data and prices?
We review prices and features regularly. Even so, always confirm the detail on the provider's official site before purchasing.
Privacy
Does Cryvor sell or store my personal data?
No. We never sell your personal data and we don't build advertising profiles. The only data we handle is the standard server log your browser sends to load a page — such as your IP address, processed for security and stability under the GDPR — plus anything you choose to email us. There are no user accounts and no newsletter. Full details are in our privacy policy.
Content
Can I suggest a topic for a guide or comparison?
Yes. Write to us with the service or topic you're interested in. We review every suggestion, though we can't guarantee we'll publish each request.
