Password generator

A password generator creates long, random and unique keys —with uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols— that are almost impossible to guess or crack by brute force. It is built into password managers: when you sign up somewhere, it suggests a strong password and saves it for you, so you never have to invent or memorize one. This removes the bad habit of reusing the same password, the attackers’ favorite way in after a breach. It usually lets you adjust length and character types to meet each site’s rules. The longer the password, the safer it is. Which managers include a good generator is covered in the best password managers comparison.
