Master Password
The master password is the single key to your password manager: with it, you unlock the encrypted vault holding all your other credentials. So you only have to remember this one strong password. With reputable providers it works on the zero-knowledge Zero-knowledge means a provider has no access to your data or keys — only you can decrypt them. Even the provider "knows nothing." More in the glossary → principle — the provider doesn't know it and can't reset it. That's very secure, but it has a flip side: if you lose the master password, you usually lose access to all stored data too. It should therefore be long, unique, and well memorized.
