UX/UI Designer
A UX/UI designer is the professional who shapes the way people see and use a digital product, such as a website or an app. The work spans two complementary sides: UX (user experience), which is about making the product useful, easy to use and pleasant — researching users, organising the information and designing the flows and navigation — and UI (user interface), which focuses on the visual look: colours, typography, buttons and how elements are laid out on screen. They usually create wireframes and prototypes to test ideas before they are coded, and work hand in hand with frontend The frontend is the part of a website or app that the user sees and interacts with — the design, text, buttons — and that runs in the browser. More in the glossary → developers, who turn their designs into something functional. They also take care of accessibility, so the product works for all kinds of people. It is a key role, because good design largely decides whether people stay or leave.
