FTP / SFTP

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a standard method for transferring files between your computer and a server ✕ A server is a powerful computer that provides data or services to other devices — for example serving a website or storing your cloud files. Classic FTP, however, transmits data unencrypted; that's why today you should use SFTP (Secure FTP), which encrypts the connection and thus protects your credentials and content. It's used through an FTP program (such as FileZilla) with your host's login details.
